The developer has partnered with iam8bit and Skybound Games to release Spiritfarer physical editions for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on July 27, with preorders available globally today. More physical goodies include a postcard and stamp set and recipe cards. Spiritfarer physical edition comes with: Collectible postcard and sticker stamp set highlighting exotic locations from the game Digital Download Card for. Place it lit inside the special box, and you have a working lantern to display. Other than including the game, iam8bit has recreated the Everlight to a 1:1 scale and lights up. Priced at $199.99, this Collector’s Edition is available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Today, they’re ready to not only show off Spiritfarer’s Collector’s Edition, but also starting to accept pre-orders. A standard edition physical release was made available last month, yet iam8bit mentioned in the initial announcement that a collector’s edition was in the works. In addition to today’s update, iam8bit has one concerning their physical release of the game.
Thunder Lotus promised in a tweet that these changes will be made available in a later patch. What didn’t make this update, unfortunately, are changes to Gustav’s story. Once installed, you’ll be able to meet Beverly, “a tiny owl found in Oxbury”, have up to three save slots, access to new features, quality of life improvements, and narrative improvements.

Released in three batches, today we get the game’s “Summer 2021” update, aptly named after a new spirit you’ll encounter. The physical edition of the game contains many additional goodies. Pre-orders for both versions are now open and you can find out more details here.
